Meet the mama: Ashley Weller part II

We loved seeing how @southernchicstyle Ashley Weller operates her professional life and today we have a peek into her personal life that include lots of Mexican food, snuggles with her kids and celebrating everything!
Enjoy!

1. What are you favorite “mom hacks” (i.e. time savers, organizers, advice, etc)
Favorite mom hacks… shared family calendars, that saves a ton of time reminding everyone where to go and what they need to do, making lunches the night before of course, putting out dog food and things that involve my dogs the night before, post social media things after everyone goes to bed, so you can take your time.

2. What are your favorite beauty/hair and/or skin products?
I have so many!!! The ones I wear every single day are; my clinical grade sunscreen by Elta MD it is tinted and acts like a foundation!! AWESOME! I also use the Protect and Correct duo from Skin Better; it has a retinol product that is amazing and also a defense serum that protects against the environment.
My three favorite makeup items are; Origins under eye corrector, which I use for cover-up too, best mascara for bottom eye lashes- Roller Lash, amazing and my bronzer is from Two faced (it literally smells like chocolate!!).

3. What is your favorite splurge? (ie massage, champagne, travel, etc)
Favorite splurge…nails and massages for sure, anything to relax me and nails always make such a big difference!!!

4. What are your Children’s names and how did you choose them?
My children’s names were not creative or extraordinary. Austin is my son and we thought we were being so creative, but I guess a million other people thought they were that year too! Austin’s middle is Dale, which is my father-in-law’s name.
Abby, was a last minute tie breaker name choice. We could not decide on a girl name and we both loved Abby so we went with it. Abby’s middle name is Lee, which is my father’s middle name.

5. How do you celebrate big events?
I love these questions!! Celebrations are BIG at our house! We celebrate everything from awesome grades to Anniversaries! We always have that person’s favorite dessert, decorations are a must, all of the family gets together, and photos are taken! Life is short, so celebrate everything!!!

6. Favorite thing to do with your kids?
Honestly my favorite thing to do with my kids is to lay on our couch with them and cuddle, either just talking or watching a movie.

7. Favorite date night or girl’s night out?
Favorite date night is to get a bottle of wine, a picnic dinner and go sit somewhere quiet and away from everything and everyone.
Girls Night out is always a hoot! I have a group of 4 other girls and we call ourselves the Fab Five. I have known several of them for 40+ years!!!! Our favorite thing to do is get take out and wine, get our PJ’s on and come over to my house to our Theater room with blankets and pillows and watch a movies and talk!

8. Favorite quote?
For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will       say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20

9. Favorite book?
Anything Self-help, I love to learn how to better myself and become a better person.

12. Favorite vacation spot?
Anywhere near water; I love Mexico, Gulf Shores, and Colorado.

13. Describe your perfect day?
My perfect day…I would wake up late and no one would be home, it would be quiet and I would make coffee and sit outside because the weather would be perfect! I would slowly take a shower and get ready on my own time, listening to my favorite music. I would put on something comfortable but super cute and when I got downstairs my family would be there and we would go out for a nice brunch somewhere on a patio and drink mimosas and enjoy each other’s company for hours, just laughing and talking. We would then go to the lake and go boating all day and watch the sunset on the boat. After that we would lay in hammocks outside of a shady lake house with lightening bugs all around, while someone made us dinner. After we ate outside, because the weather was still perfect, we would light a fire in our fire pit, roast marshmallows and tell stories about fun memories that we have had together. That would be my perfect day.
